Write for The Other Stories

Think you've got what it takes to terrify, scar, and haunt?
We're opening up our chart-topping, internationally recognised podcast to guest writers. Got a great idea for a story you think our audience will love? Get in touch and send it over.
If accepted, we'll get our fantastic narration team to lend their voices, our editor will sprinkle some magic pixie dust on the track, and you could have your story heard by thousands of listeners each week.
Successful submissions will also be included in our ebook and print compilations.
Here's what you need to do:
Stories must be 2,000 (10% tolerance +/-)
Save stories in a Word document - Times New Roman font, size 12
Please include a 1-2 sentence log line for your story.
Ensure that your name and an email address are somewhere on the document
Stories must fit an upcoming theme
You must be the original creator of the story
We will consider entrants whose work has been entered and published elsewhere, however please ensure you state where and when on the document
You will be allowed to place one call-to-action for your own work at the end of the episode. Be sure to include this in your document.
Payment per accepted story is 5USD to be paid on the 1st of the month following publication via Paypal. All rights remain with the author.

AUDIO DRAMA SCRIPTS (CLOSED)
For a brand-new super secret project.
H&C are currently on the prowl for audio drama scripts for a super secret upcoming new podcast. If you think you can write a great audio drama in the horror, thriller, and/or sci-fi genre, then send it our way. If successful, our talented cast of actors will record it at the Acast studio in London, our audio editor will add that special noise sauce, and you’ll be featured on the show.
Here's what we need:
An audio-drama ranging from around 10-15 minutes.
Any script format is acceptable, so long as it is easy to read.
All sound effects must be clearly labelled.
There must be no more than 3 actors needed for large roles. (If there are minor parts in addition to this, then that's fine)
There must be no child actors needed.
The first round of submissions closes on March 11th.
